Los suelos arables y fértiles son un recurso escaso en el mundo, por este motivo cuando crece la demanda por alimentos se produce una intensificación de la producción agrícola, la cual puede conducir al incremento del número de cultivos por unidad de área, en un año, y/o a la expansión del área cultivada. |
